Today, Leo XIV published a message for the 2026 World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. He adopts the ecological vocabulary closely associated with Francis’ pontificate. Citing Laudato Si’, he speaks of an “authentic ecological conversion” and in metaphors such as “the ecosystems of the human heart.” The message also contains a naïve statement on warfare. “The true tools for building peace are not weapons of destruction,” Leo writes, listing instead “truth, dialogue, patience, goodness, justice, mercy, understanding, care and love.” Leo XIV enfolds an earthly program of disarmament, poverty reduction and ecological improvement: “Let us imagine a world in which the energies currently invested in war are directed toward integral human development, to overcoming poverty, protecting human dignity and reconciling divided peoples. Such a vision reflects faith in the coming of God’s Kingdom.” #newsUadwzxlixo
The Vacancy of the Apostolic See: A Theological Case for Sedevacantism Methodological note. The following text is deliberately written from a sedevacantist perspective. It therefore does not present sedevacantist conclusions as juridically or magisterially recognized facts by the Church today. Rather, it seeks to present the case as rigorously as possible, while distinguishing between certain doctrines, theological opinions, and arguments concerning their application. "Filled with indignation against the usurer, they declared his body should not be buried in consecrated ground, and taking it off the catafalque, dragged it out of the city and threw it on a place where dead beasts were buried. This wonderful occurrence did not fail to produce a good and lasting impression on the people. From that time usury was almost stamped out of Florence; but the respect and veneration in which St. Anthony was held were such that he and his companion fled from the city to seek the solitude of Mt. Alvernia."
[St. Anthony of Padua XII-XIII Century AD; born: Lisbon, Kingdom of Portugal/died: Padua, Holy Roman Empire; (aged 35); powerful preaching, expert knowledge of scripture, and undying love and devotion to the poor and the sick; canonized less than a year after his death; Doctor of the Church] 16 ~ Where the treasure is, there also is Thy Heart Among the many vices infesting Florence, usury was the one against which the saint waged the greatest war. St. Bonaventure himself relates an occurrence which took place in that city, and of which St. Anthony availed himself in one of his sermons to illustrate how severely God punishes that vice. A rich usurer died, and whilst the saint was in prayer God revealed to him that this man s soul was in hell on account of his unjust dealings with others. An immense crowd of people had gone to hear the saint preach the funeral sermon. He at once, on ascending the pulpit, began by pointing out the heinousness of the sin of usury, declaring that usurers in …More
Miss Universe 2025 Fátima Bosch, a Catholic, visited the Church of Our Lady of Mercy in Guatemala City and presented her crown before God as an act of gratitude.
by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira – Folha de S. Paulo, March 18, 1973 – The Santiago Chancery has so far refused to publish anything about the Chilean TFP’s manifesto. My perplexity grows with each passing day, as I see no valid reason for this silence. The manifesto’s subject matter is of utmost importance because it concerns the Pastors’ fulfillment of their mission to protect their sheep — and, by extension, the entire country — from the effects of communist propaganda. The manifesto has more than enough intellectual substance to attract the attention of Chile’s Bishops Conference. Its doctrine is irreproachable, the facts it alleges are supported by extensive documentation, the exposition is well-connected, and its language is clear and elevated. Furthermore, I am informed that the manifesto has been widely publicized by several Chilean newspapers, radio and television stations. It deserves a refutation, at least out of deference to the immense audience that has taken note of it. Finally …More
"REFLECTION. — Whilst we contemplate, in profound sentiments of veneration, astonishment, and praise, the glory to which Mary is raised by her triumph on this day, we ought, for our own advantage, to consider by what means she arrived at this sublime degree of honor and happiness, that we may walk in her steps. No other way is open to us. The same path which conducted her to glory will also lead us thither; we shall be partners in her reward if we copy her virtues."
August 15 ~ THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY. ON this festival, the Church commemorates the happy departure from life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and her translation into the kingdom of her Son, in which she received from Him a crown of immortal glory, and a throne above all the other Saints and heavenly spirits. After Christ, as the triumphant Conqueror of death and hell, ascended into heaven, His blessed Mother remained at Jerusalem, persevering in prayer with the disciples, till, with them, she had received the Holy Ghost. She lived to a very advanced age, but finally paid the common debt of nature, none among the children of Adam being exempt from that rigorous law. But the death of the Saints is rather to be called a sweet sleep than death ; much more that of the Queen of Saints, who had been exempt from all sin. It is a traditionary pious belief, that the body of the Blessed Virgin was raised by God soon after her death, and taken up to glory, by a singular privilege, …More
The bishop who oversees the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes in France has said the popular Catholic pilgrimage site will cover all of its mosaics by disgraced priest Father Marko Rupnik ahead of Pope Leo XIV’s visit next month.
The mosaics by Marko Rupnik at the Sanctuary of Lourdes will be fully covered in the coming weeks and will remain hidden permanently after Pope Leo XIV’s visit, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes told French newspaper LaDepeche.fr on August 20. Only some of the mosaics, including those on the basilica’s doors, were covered in March 2025. The sanctuary had previously stopped illuminating Rupnik’s works during its nightly processions in 2024. Rupnik is a Slovenian priest and artist promoted by the Vatican for decades. He has been accused by around two dozen women of sexual, spiritual and psychological abuse. An ongoing canonical case concerning the allegations is being drawn out in the Vatican. Bishop Micas has previously said that the continued public display of Rupnik’s work at Lourdes can cause particular pain to victims of abuse who visit the sanctuary. #newsSevwzxkaei

Priest Alters Words of Consecration, Nuns Appear as "Concelebrants". Worse than Germany: A video published by InfoVaticana.com shows Trinitarian nuns at the Monastery of Suesa in Cantabria, Spain, standing around the altar like concelebrants, with their hands extended during the Eucharistic Prayer. The celebrating priest altered the words of consecration, using feminine forms. He said, “Tomad y comed todas de él” (“Take and eat, all of you” — using the feminine todas). Furthermore, he prayed “for all humanity” instead of “for many.” He also replaced “Do this in memory of me” with: “Do this to remember that I am among you as one who serves.”
Why the Church stopped teaching wives must obey: Tim Gordon’s nuclear take Catholic author and podcaster Timothy Gordon joins John-Henry Westen for a wide-ranging conversation on feminism, traditional Catholic marriage, and the crisis of authority in the Church. Gordon draws from the Roman Catechism to argue that modern Catholics have become uncomfortable with traditional teachings on male headship and wifely obedience. He discusses his documentary What a Woman Is, the “Diaper Gate” controversy, and the backlash his positions have received, including from women who support his arguments. They then turn to the death penalty, where Gordon challenges recent Catholic teaching restricting capital punishment. He traces the decisive break to changes under Pope John Paul II, arguing that the traditional justification rests on retributive justice, not merely preventing future crimes. They also talk about Pope Leo XIV, the “seamless garment” approach to pro-life issues, Amoris Laetitia, and the …More
Security camera footage from an office in China captures a startling malfunction involving a Unitree humanoid robot during what appears to be routine indoor testing or demonstration. The robot initially stands normally before suddenly erupting into violent, erratic arm movements, rapidly swinging its limbs and shifting into an aggressive looking stance that sends nearby employees rushing to intervene. Several staff members quickly surround the machine, attempting to restrain it as it continues flailing and resisting for several tense seconds. The dramatic scene, which many online compared to a science fiction movie, ends with workers successfully bringing the robot under control. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. While the exact cause has not been publicly confirmed, incidents like this are commonly associated with software glitches, sensor failures, or control system errors during development. As humanoid robots continue expanding into workplaces, events like this highlight …More

Leo XIV appointed this guy: Peter G. Kirchschläger, 49, a social ethicist at the University of Lucerne, has called the Church’s ban on women’s ordination an unresolved human-rights problem and argued that the state should pressure the Church over it. Rejecting the argument that dissatisfied women can simply leave the Church, he responded: “That would be protecting the perpetrator.”
On 18 August 2026, Pope Leo XIV appointed twelve new consultors to the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. Leo XIV fills the Vatican's social-policy apparatus with mostly anti-Catholic figures. 1. Peter G. Kirchschläger, 49, Social ethicist, University of Lucerne, Switzerland In December 2018, he said that the Catholic Church has an unresolved human-rights problem regarding the impossibility of women's ordination to the priesthood. He even claimed that the state "may not look away" but has an obligation to press the Church on it. When presented with the argument that women dissatisfied with Catholic teaching can leave, he answered: “That would be protecting the perpetrator.” 2. Kathryn A. Koch, 45, Wall Street Finance Kathryn Koch spent 20 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, became a Goldman partner and ran its approximately $300 billion public-equity business. I have no doubt that the false church will one day ordain women, and one day have a women pope to go along with their phony church. One thing for sure, I'm sticking with the Catholic faith no matter what.
