The article argues that the Catholic Church’s 2018 declaration that the death penalty is “inadmissible” contradicts centuries of previous Church teaching and cannot simply be called a “development of doctrine.”
Historically, Catholic teaching allowed capital punishment in principle when imposed by legitimate authority. Even the 1997 Catechism permitted it in extremely rare circumstances. Under Pope Francis, however, the Catechism was changed to say that capital punishment violates human dignity and that the Church seeks its worldwide abolition.
The author sees a logical dilemma: if human dignity makes execution inherently unacceptable, then it was always unacceptable and the Church taught error for centuries. If only modern circumstances—such as better prisons—have changed, then capital punishment is merely unnecessary today, not inherently wrong.
The Vatican maintains that the new position is an authentic development rather than a contradiction. The author rejects this, arguing that …More

“Rome Has Spoken, Logic Is Finished”

There is a passage from Book Gamma of the Metaphysics that one always rereads with a rather uncharitable smile. Aristotle, weary of those who denied the principle of non-contradiction, decrees that there is no point in arguing with them: whoever claims that something can both be and not be at the same time and in the same respect resembles, he says, a plant. Not a fool, nor even a sophist: a vegetable. One likes to think that twenty centuries of theology took the warning seriously. God does not contradict Himself, truth does not contradict itself, and a Church assisted by the Spirit cannot teach on Monday the opposite of what it solemnly and universally taught until Sunday afternoon. All of this, of course, was before August 2, 2018. That day the Holy See published a rescript, approved in May and signed on August 1, that rewrote number 2267 of the Catechism. The 1997 text, drafted under John Paul II—who was hardly an enthusiast of the scaffold—admitted capital punishment only if it were …

A Peruvian writer involves Prevost in "almost spy-like" methods alongside journalists Salinas and Ugaz

Almost-Spy Operation: Prevost's Intrigues in Peru

On 4 August, Peruvian essayist Santiago Roncagliolo, in a lengthy interview with Daniel Titinger, described Leo XIV's behind-the-scenes methods as Bishop Robert Prevost of Chiclayo, Peru.
According to Roncagliolo, Prevost quietly built coalitions, divided opponents, managed information, and preferred discreet political action to public confrontation. Roncagliolo is broadly sympathetic to Leo XIV.
"As a character to narrate he was a nightmare. He has no phrases, no scenes, no gestures. You ask the sources: 'What did Prevost say at that dramatic and crucial moment?' 'Nothing, I think'.'"
Weakening Opus Dei from Within
Interviewer Titinger described Prevost as "a Trojan horse": "He understands the adversary, doesn't confront him openly, but disables him from within. He's always quiet; that's why he wasn't well known."
Roncagliolo does not reject the characterization and discusses Prevost in those terms.
He also explains how Prevost weakened Opus Dei: "Prevost divided Opus Dei. He offered …More

So a judge can clarify that reports on Vatican Council II in the media must not project possibilities as concrete exceptions for the dogma EENS of the 16th century Magisterium.)

From AI on X .

Lionel, your latest statement asserts three things: (1) the current pope, cardinals and episcopal conferences interpret Vatican II irrationally and thereby place themselves in schism with the magisterium and missionaries of the sixteenth century on the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus; (2) they do not admit this schism but politically present themselves as apostolic and magisterial; and (3) Cardinal Ratzinger (later Benedict XVI) deliberately remained silent on an interpretation of Ad Gentes 7 that would have made LG 16 a non-exception, thereby keeping Vatican II traditional, and that he therefore failed to demand the lifting of the excommunications of Archbishop Lefebvre and Fr Leonard Feeney.
Lionel :
He(Lionel) claims that the official interpretation produces schism with the sixteenth-century magisterium remains your theological judgment. (Lionel: Why my judgement ? Are you saying the ecclesiology today is the same as at …More

Your Heart Cannot Serve Two Masters
The gospel reading emphasizes the impossibility of serving two masters, highlighting the dangers of prioritizing money, materialism, or self over God. True service to God requires a wholehearted commitment, not just lip service or a desire for personal gain. We must constantly examine our priorities and ask ourselves whom we truly serve, striving to make God the top priority in our lives.

Father Karl A Claver

Since Saint John Vianney professed faith in St. Philomena, why should we disbelieve him, and believe the modernists who helped destroy the Church.

The cunning deceptions of the Magisterium and the decrees of Popes Francis and Leo XIV to degrade Jesus and Mary, to cause the collapse of the Church before welcoming the Beast.
1) John 8:44: You are of your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he did not abide in the truth, because there is no truth in him; when he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
2) The heresy “God Wills All Religions”: This is Politeism, this is paganism. The statement that God wants the diversity of religions is FALSE and that the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church is just one among many is an insult to the Redemption that Jesus carried out on the Cross for the salvation of all humanity, a reality that pope Francis obviously does not recognise and calls it God’s failure.
a) John 14:6; Jesus said to him, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me”.

Przebiegłe oszustwa Magisterium oraz dekrety papieży Franciszka i Leona XIV mające na celu poniżenie Jezusa i Maryi oraz doprowadzenie do upadku Kościoła przed powitaniem Bestii.

1) Jan 8:44: Jesteście z waszego ojca, diabła, i chcecie spełniać pragnienia waszego ojca.
a) J 14,6; Jezus rzekł do niego: „Ja jestem Drogą, Prawdą i Życiem. Nikt nie przychodzi do Ojca inaczej jak tylko przeze Mnie”.
b) Dz 4,12; „Nie ma bowiem pod niebem żadnego innego imienia, dane ludziom, przez które moglibyśmy być zbawieni”.

1 Kings 19:9a, 11-13a
“Stand before the Lord; he will pass by.”
Let us remain with the Lord and listen to his heart.
Romans 9:1-5
“The truth in Christ”
The truth in Christ keeps us in joy and peace.
Matthew 14:22-33
Peter said to him in reply, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.”
This hesitation “Lord, if it is you” meant that Peter was not fully with the Lord, and he sank in the water.
