The Second Pastoral Synod of the Archdiocese of Kraków degenerates into a 'rainbow event'. It opened in March 2026 under the leadership of Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś, and the first 56-page report was produced on 19 June. A Synodal Day of Recollection has been scheduled for 10 October 2026, and the next plenary session is planned for 12–13 February 2027. Cardinal Ryś was already known for his pro-homosexual tendencies when Leo XIV promoted him Archbishop of Kraków in November 2025. At the plenary session of the Kraków Synod in June 2026, Cardinal Ryś addressed the issue of homosexuality directly: 'Sexual orientation does not exclude anyone from the Church.' The 56-page synodal report summarises proposals emerging from local consultations. On page 34, under the heading 'Radical change of language towards LGBT+', the report calls for 'safe pastoral havens'. It demands an end to portraying practicing homosexuals as a threat and calls for 'open, honest dialogue with contemporary knowledge about …Bebree
@Boanerges Boanerges Why blame Leo? These Priests already promote it. They are not forced to do a thing they don't want to do. It's up to each Priest if they want to remain faithful to the True Faith. Or walk the road to perdition. The SSPX rather be excommunicated than to be disloyal to GOD. Or promote sin. All the Priests, Bishops, Cardinals etc all have the same choice. Either you love GOD and wish to obey Him. Or you don't. And our job is to pray for their souls. To pray they will wake up before it's too late.
The Greek-Orthodox Metropolis (Diocese) of Kaisariani, Vyronas and Ymittos, which covers three suburbs of Athens, announced that an icon of Our Lady is "weeping" in Vyronas. The phenomenon began on September 8, the Nativity of Mary, during a liturgy. It repeated itself the following days and attracted many people. The diocese interprets this as a “signs from God for the faithful.” #newsGxtcpuuxfr

Today, the Vatican announced that Leo XIV approved Archbishop Andrea Ding Yang, 44, of Chongqing, China, on 28 July and that he was consecrated a bishop today. Andrea Ding Yang, born in Chongqing in 1981, was ordained a priest in 2007 after studying at the Beijing state seminary. He was chosen unilateral by the Chinese state religion on 15 April. ChinaCatholic.cn states that he “was elected bishop-designate” on that date. Beijing’s Apparatchik He served as a formator at the National Seminary in Beijing from 2012–14, and was allowed to study at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome in 2014–15 (Opus Dei). Archbishop Renzo Pegoraro, President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, claims that Catholics could morally assent to a law permitting assisted suicide in Italy. Speaking to the Italian bishops’ newspaper Avvenire.it on September 6, he said: “From the Catholic side, it is a matter of assessing whether we will be faced with an ‘imperfect law’, to which it would nevertheless be moral to give one’s assent, in view of the fact that more permissive and libertarian laws could otherwise quickly be approved in Parliament, laws far more harmful to the dignity of the sick person and the value of life.” Leo XIV appointed Archbishop Pegoraro as President of the Pontifical Academy for Life on May 27, 2025. For a decade, he had already drawn attention for serious deviations from Catholic doctrine on matters of life, including statements that contraception might be morally permissible under certain circumstances. On March 25, 2026, Leo XIV appointed Pegoraro a titular bishop and gave him the personal …Bebree

The University of Notre Dame's McGrath Institute for Church Life has published on July 17 a report containing twelve proposals for assessing candidates for the priesthood. Entitled, "Do You Know Them to Be Worthy?", the file was written by Father Thomas V. Berg and psychologist Timothy G. Lock. The report draws on research commissioned from the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA) and a consultation held at Notre Dame in September 2025. The proposals concern psychological assessment, candidates with particular psychological or developmental conditions, and formation for chastity and celibacy. It addresses candidates with conditions including ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder and autism spectrum disorder. On homosexual attraction, the Notre Dame authors note that a pause in formation may "more often than not" lead to a decision not to advance a candidate toward ordination. The authors think the pause is needed to assess four things: - how the man understands his identity; …Bebree
On August 15, InfoVaticana.com noted a pattern in Leo XIV’s 2026 liturgies: the Roman Canon has been absent from nearly all the year’s major solemnities. At the Assumption Mass, Eucharistic Prayer III was used instead, as it was at Easter, Pentecost, Corpus Christi, and Saints Peter and Paul. The Canon has not disappeared entirely: Leo XIV used it on Holy Thursday and at a Sacred Heart Mass in Tenerife on June 12. For more than fourteen centuries, the Roman Canon stood at the heart of the Roman rite, its roots reaching deep into the earliest centuries of Christian worship in Rome. #newsQwvjswksfd
"For me, the Church is synodal," said Bishop Heiner Wilmer, 65, in an interview with Kirche-Und-Leben.de on 21 August. He is the chairman of the German Bishops’ Conference. In March 2026, Pope Leo XIV promoted the pro-homosexual bishop to Münster, the largest diocese in Germany. Monsignor Wilmer said that synodality is "deeply rooted" in Münster diocese. He added that he was looking forward to "the common journey with many baptised people, but also internationally, ecumenically, and with our Jewish and Muslim brothers and sisters". Grateful for Lay Preaching When asked about lay preaching during Eucharists, Bishop Wilmer admitted that he there are "many" baptised women and men who had been engaging with this issue for years, and that a culture had developed around it. Wilmer has "great respect for this established tradition" and is "deeply grateful" for it. He is "convinced that the wonderful pastoral workers will find a good way to deal with the circumstances” - taking about the Vatican's …Bebree

Two pastors in South Korea have been fined 1 million won (about €620) each after loudly preaching on a domestic flight from Jeju to Seoul. They shouted that passengers would “go to hell” if they did not believe in Jesus, while one moved around the cabin. They continued despite instructions from the cabin crew to stop. A Seoul court found that their conduct constituted a disturbance under South Korea’s Aviation Security Act.
The court said the 64-year-old pastor stood in the aisle despite repeated attempts by crew members to stop him and shouted at passengers, “You will go to hell if you don’t believe in Jesus.”
Archbishop Aldo Cavalli, 79, a former Apostolic Nuncio and the Apostolic Visitor for the parish of Medjugorje, administered Confirmation to two young Irish Travellers in the Adoration Chapel in Medjugorje, reports David Murgia on IlSegnoDiGiona. According to pictures, the women wore inappropriate short white pyjamas. Murgia says the outfits reflect festive dress customary in the Irish Traveller community. He claims to have verified the circumstances through multiple sources and that the photographs are authentic.

When the generation of the ’68ers passes away, the unfounded, one-sided attitudes against Latin and Gregorian chant will pass away as well, Cardinal Robert Sarah told IlGiornale.it on August 27. Benedict XVI’s liberalization of the Traditional Latin Mass had a positive and even corrective influence on abuses in the celebration of the Novus Ordo, Cardinal Sarah said. “Many priests testify that discovering the Extraordinary Form helped them to celebrate better.” Furthermore, the faithful could choose which form corresponded more closely to the fostering of the faith. “But all of this was brought to an abrupt end by Traditionis Custodes while the Pope Emeritus was still alive.” Francis’ restrictions on the Latin Mass were “neither a wise nor a respectful choice.” Cardinal Sarah added that access to “ritual forms that have existed for centuries can never be artificially restricted by decrees.” Without referring explicitly to the Novus Ordo, Sarah noted that a rite that did not serve the …Bebree
